The ABCD was standardized on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease patients and young and older non-disabled adults (reliability and validity information contained in manual). Test is useful in differential diagnosis, monitoring change over time, program and discharge planning. Its fourteen subtests can be given collectively or individually, making this test efficient and time-saving. Areas tested include:
• Linguistic expression
• Linguistic comprehension
• Verbal episodic memory
• Visuospatial construction
• Mental status

The complete ABCD kit includes: manual, 25 response record forms, laminated scoring and interpretation card, stimulus book A, stimulus book B, and sturdy storage box.
